I asked Pensive Pen to illustrate a race between a bubble car and a tractor. I gave him the photos I wanted him to use - including a clip from the film "Grease" where Cha-Cha starts the drag race with her scarf. I'm delighted with the result. I've used it as a birthday card for a friend.

From reference images or photos

Do you want an illustration that is based on an actual photograph?

For example:

  • a drawing of the church where you got married
  • a drawing of your first car
  • a drawing of a favourite city skyline

Here’s what I would need from you:

  1. Send me your reference photograph(s).
  2. If using more than one photograph, please explain how you would like them combined.
  3. Give me any other useful information – for example, do you want a background colour? Is there any particular feature you want highlighted or removed?

Here’s what I’ll do:

  1. I’ll draw up your illustration, and send it to you in a draft version.
  2. I will make up to two revisions based on your feedback.
  3. I will then send you the final version.
